Diamond Jim's Saloon opened in 2001 at 19650 W. Warren Avenue on Detroit's west side. It became a favorite of bears, cowboys and the leather crowd, hosting leather events and gay rodeo fundraisers, with ties to the Michigan International Gay Rodeo Association. The saloon closed in July 2010 because of problems with its landlord. Some of its memorabilia is now on display at Menjo's.
