Dexter Community Players has been the town's community theatre since 1981, working with both youth and adult casts. Recent productions include Matilda Jr. and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. In 2024 the group teamed up with the Pinckney Players for Hunchback of Notre Dame. Its next announced show is Lauren Gunderson's Silent Sky.
