Detroit Roller Wheels has been under the same ownership since 1981, with a hard maple floor and an upgraded sound and light system. Family sessions, lessons, a skate shop and parties fill the schedule, but Thursday evening belongs to the grown-ups: a 21+ skate that's part of Detroit's Black roller-skating and jam-skating culture. Expect R&B, hip-hop and Detroit JB.
