01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Detroit Restaurant Week launched in fall 2009 with 17 restaurants and a simple pitch: a fixed-price, three-course dinner to get people eating out in greater downtown. For years it ran in both spring and fall, and the 2019 edition had 30 restaurants. In 2026 Hour Detroit brings it back in a new format: from November 2 to 8, participating spots serve prix fixe menus at $36, $56 or $76, and $1 from every meal goes to local nonprofits. Check in through the official app to rack up points and win gift cards. It's the perfect excuse to finally try that place you keep driving past.
