Make time for these
DDOT is Detroit's city bus service, run by the city since 1922. Its 37 routes cover Detroit plus Highland Park and Hamtramck, and carried about 14.7 million riders in 2025. You can buy fares and the regional Dart pass in the Token Transit app, and the same pass works on suburban SMART buses. The cashier's office and reduced-fare program sit in the Rosa Parks Transit Center downtown, and a live tracker shows where every bus is.
