Make time for these
From late November through December you hop on a trolley, BYOB, 21-and-up only, for a rolling holiday lights crawl. The route hits three stops: about 30 minutes at the Rochester Big Bright Light Show, 90 minutes at the Detroit Zoo's Wild Lights, then 45 minutes at Campus Martius downtown under the big Christmas tree. Sundays run the route in reverse. They've been running this since around 2016, and this year marks their 10th annual run.

How to book and where to meet
Check in at 1873 E Big Beaver Rd in Troy (the Buffalo Wild Wings parking lot) before departure — 5:15 p.m. sharp on weekdays, 4:45 p.m. on Sundays. Bring a valid state ID, since it's strictly 21 and up. Tickets go on sale on their website, and seats sell out fast each season.
