What’s it like to stay here?
Daxton opened in 2021 as an independent, art-driven luxury hotel owned by local businessman Mark Mitchell. Its six floors hold 151 rooms and suites, and more than 400 original works curated with Saatchi fill the building, so no two rooms share the same art. Adrian Landon's golden mechanical horse greets you in the lobby. Dinner is at Madam, cocktails at the glowing, dome-shaped Geode Bar, and breakfast at Café Dax. It joined Hilton's Curio Collection in January 2025 but kept its own personality, which makes it a treat for art lovers and special-occasion weekends.

Getting there
Driving? It's valet only at $45 overnight, with metered street parking and two public decks nearby during the day. Budget for the $30 nightly hotel fee, and ask the staff to book you a private car from DTW.
