Convention & Show Services

Family-run trade show contractor since 1983, handling booth setup, freight and union labor for shows from the Auto Show on down.

01 / The story of this place

Make time for these

Fred Tanari, a former house painter from Detroit's east side, started Convention & Show Services in 1983 after the display company he worked for, the Auto Show's contractor, was sold. He launched with a single auto show contract and went on to land the Boat Show, Autorama and plenty of conventions. It's still family run by the Tanaris, working out of a warehouse in Lincoln Park. Services cover install and dismantle, material handling, warehousing, union trades, floor plans, exhibit design, graphics and rentals.

  1. Family run by the Tanaris since 1983
  2. Install and dismantle plus material handling
  3. Union trades and union payroll
  4. Detroit Auto Show and Free Press Marathon
