Make time for these
Common Language opened in the early 1990s as a feminist and LGBTQ+ bookstore. It was later taken over by the Aut Bar's founders and, from 2003, operated right next door to the bar on Braun Court. When it closed on December 31, 2018, it was one of only about ten LGBTQ-focused bookstores left in the US and Canada. Falling sales in the internet era were cited as the reason.
