Cinemark Ann Arbor 20 and IMAX sits on Carpenter Road just outside Ann Arbor, even though its postal address says Ypsilanti. It opened on October 7, 1988 as a 14-screen Showcase Cinemas and grew through several expansions to 20 screens and 2,647 seats. Rave Motion Picture Theatres took it over in December 2009 and Cinemark in June 2013. It has an IMAX auditorium, D-BOX motion seats, RealD 3D and Luxury Lounger recliners, and it regularly screens Indian-language films with English subtitles. On September 26, 2026, Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Coyote vs. Acme are among the titles playing.
