George and Ellen Booth built and endowed this Episcopal church as part of their Cranbrook estate, and it opened in 1928 as one of the finest Arts and Crafts buildings in Michigan, filled with hand-carved stonework, stained glass and wrought iron made by craftspeople connected to the nearby Cranbrook Academy of Art. The Gothic Revival sanctuary, designed by architect Oscar H. Murray of Goodhue Associates, anchors the Cranbrook Educational Community that the Booths founded alongside the Academy of Art, Cranbrook School, Kingswood School and Cranbrook House. It remains an active Episcopal parish today, known for its choral music program and its concert and organ series, and it continues to serve the Cranbrook campus as it has for nearly a century.
