What’s it like to stay here?
The house went up in the 1880s in the Queen Anne style, and its original woodwork has been restored. The rooms have queen beds and private baths. It sits just behind the Purple Rose Theatre, founded by Jeff Daniels, and it's the only place to stay within walking distance of downtown Chelsea's shops and restaurants. Check-in is self-service with door codes, and from 2026 the innkeepers no longer serve breakfast.

Getting there
Parking is free, and you can walk to dinner and to the Purple Rose. Breakfast is on you from 2026, and your door codes arrive by email before you get there.
