This is the flagship of Grand Rapids-based Celebration Cinema, built as part of the Celebration Village development on the city's northeast side to a design by Mark Post of Post Associates. Next to its 18 screens sits an IMAX auditorium that still runs 70mm IMAX film, which the company says makes it one of only about 40 such venues in the world. The screen is 52 feet high and 70 feet wide in the 1.43:1 format, backed by 12,000 watts of sound. Expect recliners and a full bar. The company calls North its hub for education, partnerships and philanthropy.
