The Capital City Film Festival is Lansing's yearly celebration of independent film, live music and interactive media, spread across venues around the city every April. The 16th edition ran April 8-18, 2026 at Riverwalk Theatre, The Robin Theatre, Central United Methodist Church and The Avenue. With the East Lansing and Lake Michigan film festivals ending in 2026, it becomes the main festival for local filmmakers in the Lansing area. The 2026 crew was led by founding director Dominic Cochran and executive director Payal Ravani. The 2027 festival is set for April 7-17.
