Make time for these
The former Lithuanian Hall at Vernor Highway and 25th Street was remodeled and opened as Candela in 2023–2024 with support from Motor City Match. Touring and local bands bring salsa and Latin jazz (think Cali's Las Guaracheras or Armando Vega y Su Orquesta), and there are Latin dance nights with bachata and salsa lessons, Spanish-language comedy and community events; it's also rented out for weddings and quinceañeras. A commercial kitchen was added in 2026.
