What’s it like to stay here?
Everett Kircher and partners opened Boyne Mountain as a ski area in 1949 after buying the land for $1, and Boyne's resorts went on to pioneer the world's first triple (1963) and quad (1965) chairlifts. You can stay in the Mountain Grand Lodge & Spa (opened 2005), the Clock Tower Lodge, a slopeside chalet or a Deer Lake villa. Avalanche Bay, billed as Michigan's largest indoor waterpark, and SkyBridge Michigan, a timber-towered suspension bridge opened in October 2022, keep families busy all year. Add two championship golf courses and what the resort calls Michigan's largest spa, and there's plenty to do without snow.
