Jamon Jordan founded Black Scroll Network History & Tours in 2013, after years of leading similar walks for his students and realizing how much a personal connection to Black history was missing from the usual tours. The company runs walks through the former Black Bottom and Paradise Valley neighborhoods, like the two-hour Black Paradise walk starting at Bert's Marketplace, plus Underground Railroad programming and monthly virtual tours. They also partner with the Detroit Historical Society on its Black Historic Sites tours.
