The Biltmore stood on St. Antoine between Beacon and Adams, one of the best-known hotels in Paradise Valley. Entrepreneur Theodore Jones bought it in 1916, and it became a top hotel for Black visitors, whose stays were reported in the Chicago Defender and other Black newspapers. It had a restaurant in the basement. It shows up in Black travel guides from 1930–31 and in The Negro Motorist Green Book from 1938 to 1958; the building no longer exists.
