01 / The story of this place
Make time for these
Bakalikon takes its name from the Greek word for a grocery market, and it brought exactly that back to Greektown: Greek packaged foods and ingredients, baked goods and grab-and-go dishes, plus a bar pouring Greek cocktails and wine. It's a project of the Dionisopoulos family, who also own Exodus and Golden Fleece, and the idea was to keep the neighborhood's Greek roots alive. It opened in spring 2021 as part of a wave of new Greektown spots.
