A volunteer-run social dance community in Marquette, in the Upper Peninsula, with free Wednesday lessons and social dancing, held outdoors at Lower Harbor Park in summer.

Make time for these
Every Wednesday at 6:30pm there's a free lesson followed by social dancing, rotating by week: East Coast swing and Lindy Hop, then salsa, West Coast swing, ballroom, and a mixed night on a fifth Wednesday. Partners rotate, so you don't need one, and in bad weather the group moves to the Dance Zone studio on Lincoln Avenue. Baila UP also teaches Cuban rueda de casino and throws two free semi-formal dances a year, the Summer Soiree and Winter Whirl, at Ore Dock Brewing Co.
