Arcenciel opened on Thanksgiving Eve 2024 on Livernois Avenue, in the building that formerly housed Backstreet at Large Multiplex, heir to the legendary 1979 Backstreet disco. It brings five spaces under one roof: the Versailles Dining Room, the Rainbow Bar, a Sports Den, the Magenta Lounge and a dance floor with a large video wall. Fridays were ladies' nights and Saturdays guys' nights, and in 2025 it hosted Drag Race viewing parties and Detroit DeafJam events. As of September 2026, its website still announced a closure for renovations, with the last listed event in September 2025.
