Ann Arbor Civic Theatre was founded in 1929 on an open-door principle: anyone in the community can take part in theatre. Its office and intimate Studio Theatre are on West Ann Street, while bigger musicals play the Arthur Miller Theatre in the University of Michigan's Walgreen Drama Center. A Junior Theatre performs at libraries and community spaces. The 2026-27 season is its 97th, with Jekyll & Hyde, Machinal, Skeleton Crew, Matilda and The Art of Murder. Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical plays the Arthur Miller Theatre October 22-25, 2026, and Matilda follows March 18-21, 2027.

Plan your visit
The office and Studio Theatre are at 322 W Ann St. near Kerrytown, but the musicals play U-M's Walgreen Drama Center, so double-check which venue your ticket is for. For tickets, see a2ct.org or call (734) 971-2228.

Parking
Free lot next to the A2CT Studio building. At the Walgreen Drama Center the adjacent U-M lot charges $10; park free in the upper Hayward Street lot or behind the Art & Architecture Building.
