What’s it like to stay here?
New York's Warren & Wetmore designed the Pantlind Hotel in 1913, and its ceiling is one of the world's largest in gold leaf. Amway bought the fading hotel in 1979, put $60 million into it and reopened it as the Amway Grand Plaza on September 15, 1981; the 29-story glass tower followed in 1983. Today there are 656 rooms, Ruth's Chris and Wolfgang Puck restaurants, the Lumber Baron Bar, and a fitness center with an indoor pool and rooftop pickleball. With 47,120 square feet of meeting space right next to DeVos Place, it's a natural convention pick, and your dog can come too.
