The US edition of the AfroFuture festival (formerly Afrochella, founded in Accra, Ghana), first held in Detroit in August 2025 on the edge of Brush Park.

Produced with Bedrock on the Douglass Site, the former Brewster-Douglass housing site, the August 2025 debut mixed Afrobeats and amapiano stars (Asake, Davido, Kaytranada, Gims, Ludmilla) with Detroit DJs and artists such as Tee Grizzley, plus art, fashion and food. No 2026 edition has been found.
