Actors' Theatre is Grand Rapids' contemporary theatre company. Fred Sebulske, then a theatre faculty member at Grand Rapids Community College, founded it in 1980 together with local actors. It performs in GRCC's 250-seat Spectrum Theater on Fountain Street, serving as both a showcase for local actors and a training ground for theatre students. The 2026-27 season is all Michigan premieres of new plays. The Singularity Play runs October 8-17, and Phoebe in Winter closes things out May 6-15, 2027.

Circle Theatre
Grand Rapids' summer community theatre since 1953. It started in a hotel room, then played a park pavilion that housed the zoo's monkeys in winter. Today it's at Aquinas College's Performing Arts Center.
