The Nancy Katz & Margo Dichtelmiller LGBTQ+ Project is the ACLU of Michigan's program for LGBTQ+ equality, launched in 2001. It brings test cases in court, works on public policy and education, and gives individuals and community groups legal information and referrals. Its strategic litigation has included cases involving trans workers, pronouns in courts and book bans. The project describes itself as the only legal organization headquartered in Michigan that focuses on the rights of LGBTQ+ people and their families.
