Brighton's A Wilde Theatre calls itself Livingston County's newest professional theatre. It has spent five years in downtown Brighton, and its latest year was a busy one: seven main-stage shows, two children's shows, concerts and six Sam Rose comedy nights. All of that pulled in more than 4,000 visitors. Next up is a place of its own: the company is raising money to buy a 4,500-square-foot building in Brighton and turn it into its own performing-arts center. Buy a ticket now and you're backing a theatre in the middle of building itself.
