The Detroit story
Sherilyn Fenn was born Sheryl Ann Fenn in Detroit into one of the city's best-known rock-and-roll families. Her mother, Arlene Quatro, played keyboards in rock bands; her aunt is Detroit-born glam-rock star Suzi Quatro; her grandfather Art Quatro was a jazz musician; and her father, Leo Fenn, managed acts including the Quatro sisters' all-female band the Pleasure Seekers and Alice Cooper. She was raised Catholic and built her acting career in Los Angeles in the 1980s. Her breakthrough came in David Lynch and Mark Frost's Twin Peaks (1990–91), where her restless, scheming Audrey Horne earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations, and she returned to the role in the 2017 revival. She also worked with Lynch on Wild at Heart and starred in Boxing Helena and Of Mice and Men.
