The Detroit story
The Pistons acquired Bullock in a July 2015 trade with the Los Angeles Clippers that also brought Danny Granger and Marcus Morris to Detroit. He spent his first two seasons shuttling between the Pistons and their G League affiliate, the Grand Rapids Drive, while developing his outside shot, and Detroit exercised his fourth-year rookie option to keep him through 2016–17. After a stint away, he re-signed with the Pistons in July 2017 and became a more consistent contributor, known for his three-point shooting and perimeter defense, before eventually moving on to Phoenix, the Lakers and several other teams over an eleven-season NBA career.
