Kathleen Rose Perkins was born in New Baltimore, a small city on Anchor Bay of Lake St. Clair in northern Macomb County, and graduated from Anchor Bay High School in 1992. She studied at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, earning a degree in musical arts, and began acting professionally in 2001. Her best-known role is Carol Rance, the anxious, eager-to-please network executive in the Showtime and BBC comedy Episodes (2011–2017), opposite Matt LeBlanc. She has also been a regular on Netflix's I Am Not Okay with This and Disney+'s Doogie Kameāloha, M.D., and has appeared in films including Enough Said, The Skeleton Twins and Gone Girl.
