The Detroit story
By the time Anthony arrived in Detroit in an October 2014 trade for Will Bynum, he had already won two NBA championships with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013. His role with the Pistons was modest: in his first Detroit season he averaged under two points and two rebounds in about eight minutes a game off the bench. He re-signed for a second season in 2015 and survived a brief trade to Philadelphia that was rescinded after a failed physical, returning to Detroit before the Pistons waived him in July 2016, ending his NBA career.
