The Detroit story
Rhodes was born Brandi Reed and raised in Canton, Michigan, a Detroit suburb, before graduating from the University of Michigan on a full scholarship. She began her wrestling-industry career with WWE in 2011, working as a ring announcer under the name Eden Stiles in its developmental territory, and married wrestler Cody Rhodes during that time. After both left WWE in 2016, she wrestled for independent promotions including Impact Wrestling, Ring of Honor and Stardom before becoming a co-founder and executive of All Elite Wrestling (AEW) in 2019, where she also performed as a wrestler and served as chief brand officer until 2022. She also appeared on the E! reality series WAGS Atlanta and worked earlier as a figure skater and television news anchor.
