The Detroit story
Alexander Koch was born on February 24, 1988, in Grosse Pointe Park, one of the lakeside Grosse Pointe communities on Detroit's east side border, and grew up there, graduating from Grosse Pointe South High School in 2006. After leaving Michigan to pursue acting, he got his big break in 2013 as a series regular on CBS's Under the Dome, the summer drama based on Stephen King's novel about a town suddenly sealed off from the world; he played James 'Junior' Rennie, the volatile son of the town's most powerful politician, across all three seasons. He later appeared in the fifth season of Lucifer as Pete Daily, a love interest for forensic scientist Ella Lopez, and co-starred with Aubrey Plaza in the 2020 independent thriller Black Bear.
