Adrienne Frantz was born in Mount Clemens, the Macomb County seat on the Clinton River north-east of Detroit, a town once famous for its mineral-bath spas. She built her career in Los Angeles daytime television, where she created the role of the scheming but lovable Amber Moore on CBS's The Bold and the Beautiful in 1997. She played Amber there until 2005, carried the character over to the sister soap The Young and the Restless from 2006 to 2010, and returned to both shows in later years.
