Michael Zaporski’s Future Visions

Zaporski, who once played with the late Detroit saxophonist Sam Sanders and taught jazz in West Africa through the U.S. State Department, has shared stages with jazz greats like Jackie McLean and Frank Foster. At the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe, his FutureVisions band delivered a set full of energetic African-inspired rhythms and original compositions rooted in the American jazz legacy.
