Sunny Wilkinson Jazz Quartet

Sunny Wilkinson is a prominent jazz singer who has performed with notable artists such as The Count Basie Orchestra and Clark Terry. She has released four albums as a leader, with her latest, "Into the Light," focused on family and her extended musical community. She performs with her Michigan-based trio, which includes piano, bass, and drums.

Wilkinson has made substantial contributions to jazz education, heading the vocal jazz program at Michigan State University for eighteen years. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at Western Michigan University and is an artist in residence at the University of Michigan. She founded the "Sisters in Jazz" mentoring program for young women jazz musicians, which gained international recognition.

With extensive stage experience, she has appeared at jazz festivals, with symphony orchestras, and at clubs across the country, continuing to share her unique voice and teaching with audiences and students.
