Gene Dunlap Band

Gene Dunlap began his music career at age four when his father taught him drums. He refined his craft at Detroit Mumford High School, forming the Earl Klugh Trio with guitarist Earl Klugh. Dunlap recorded three solo albums under Capitol Records before reuniting and touring with Klugh, contributing to ten albums together. He has worked with various major artists including Ronnie Laws, George Benson, and orchestras like the Los Angeles Philharmonic. The Gene Dunlap Band performs at the Blue LLama Jazz Club, showcasing a unique blend of late-night groove, contemporary jazz, and smooth R&B.
