Kahil El’Zabar & David Murray

Kahil El’Zabar and David Murray have collaborated successfully for more than four decades, performing across North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa to sold-out audiences. Sir Kahil El’Zabar was knighted by the French Consulate for his global contributions to the arts. He has performed with legendary artists, holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Arts, and has played influential roles in American arts organizations.

David Murray is regarded as one of the most influential tenor saxophonists of his generation, having recorded over 300 projects. He has worked with giants like Max Roach and Charles Mingus, co-founded the World Saxophone Quartet, and earned numerous awards including Grammys.

The event takes place at the Blue LLama Jazz Club in Ann Arbor and features a dinner and show. The menu includes a choice of watermelon salad or crispy calamari for the first course, bacon-wrapped monkfish or smoked New York steak for the main course, and blueberry-lemon sponge or cherry clafoutis for dessert.
