Lady Vonne at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe

Lady Vonne looked like a star from her earliest gigs in Detroit nightclubs. She started out singing in church choir and playing violin and clarinet in school, but her career took off performing the hotel circuit with the Lorio Ross Agency, sharpening her craft. Though primarily known for jazz, she also sings American Standards, Broadway tunes, and R&B. She portrayed Phyllis Hyman on stage and co-starred in “When A Woman’s Fed Up.” Lady Vonne has opened for big names like Phyllis Hyman, Joe Sample, and Chaka Khan, performing at celebrated places including Baker’s Keyboard Lounge and Detroit Music Hall. Her voice recalls America’s jazz legends, making her shows memorable for fans in Grosse Pointe Farms.
