Amy LaVere and Will Sexton Concert

Amy LaVere is known among songwriters and critics for her distinctive voice and clever lyrics that often cut deeper than her sweet soprano suggests. Her music spans Americana and indie-folk/punk, and her performances are never predictable—sometimes masked and wigged, sometimes casual in jeans and sandals, but always featuring her upright bass. On February 15, 2023, she performed at The Ark in Ann Arbor accompanied by her guitarist and husband, Will Sexton, an Austin musician who has worked with Steve Stills and Waylon Jennings.
