Marcus Elliott is a versatile saxophonist and composer known as one of the prominent voices in Detroit's music scene. Praised by the New York Times as convincing and confident, and recognized by the Detroit Free Press as representing the next generation of jazz, Marcus creates music aimed at reminding listeners of the gift of being human. He has received prestigious awards for his innovative projects and is active as a jazz instructor and orchestra director. On May 10, he performed at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe.
