Future Visions feat. Michael Zaporski

Michael Zaporski blends American jazz traditions with West African rhythmic dialogue in his music. Having been the pianist for the late Detroit saxophonist Sam Sanders, he traveled West Africa performing and teaching jazz under the U.S. State Department. With his group FutureVisions, he performed at jazz festivals and colleges, releasing several recordings including a jazz spiritual called The Prophet scored for orchestra, chorus, and jazz quartet. The concert featured haunting melodies paired with driving rhythms, delivering a high-energy and memorable musical experience.
