Robert Jones & Matt Watroba Concert

Robert Jones and Matt Watroba have been musical partners for over 20 years, starting with hosting back-to-back radio shows on Detroit’s WDET-FM, then performing together and building a friendship rooted in mutual respect and a shared love of American traditional music. Their roots music includes folk, blues, spirituals, work songs, and chants—music that reflects history, social change, migration, hopes, and dreams. This year’s program honored Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., showcasing music that’s rich, diverse, direct, and powerful. The concert took place at The Ark in Ann Arbor, with tickets priced at $20 and $10 for students.
