Straight Ahead

Straight Ahead comes from Detroit’s vibrant jazz scene and was the first all-woman group signed to Atlantic Jazz. The band members are Alina Morr on piano, Marion Hayden on bass, Gayelynn McKinney on drums, Kymberli Wright vocals, and Ingrid Racine on trumpet. They are celebrated for their eclectic and soulful style and are members of the Detroit Music Awards Hall of Fame. Their live performances showcase a dynamic fusion of mainstream jazz, Latin jazz, and jazzy hip-hop, celebrating the power and joy of music at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe Farms.
