Marcus Elliot Broken Seeds Vol. II

Marcus Elliot is a versatile saxophonist and composer who has become a prominent voice in Detroit's music scene. Praised by The New York Times as convincing and confident, and by the Detroit Free Press as representing the next generation of jazz, Marcus creates music that celebrates the gift of being human. He’s a Kresge Fellowship recipient and teaches jazz saxophone at Wayne State University while directing the Creative Arts Orchestra at the University of Michigan. His performance at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe demonstrated his artistic range and deep connection to contemporary jazz.
