Michael Zaporski at Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe

Michael Zaporski connects American jazz traditions with West African rhythmic influences like few others. As a pianist for the late Detroit saxophonist Sam Sanders, he traveled and taught jazz in West Africa under the U.S. State Department, later playing alongside jazz legends like Jackie McLean and Art Blakey. Leading his own group, FutureVisions, he has performed at festivals and colleges, captivating audiences with energetic fusion and soulful melodies. His April concert at the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe showcased his unique sound live, mixing adrenaline and haunting African rhythms into every piece.
