Sequoia Redwood Snyder

Sequoia Redwood Snyder, a native of Washington D.C., is a musician, composer, and producer who brings a unique blend of jazz and Black musical styles. At 24, she is completing graduate studies in jazz at Michigan State University and has been mentored by legends like Rodney Whitaker and Dee Dee Bridgewater, as well as protege of boundary-pushing artist Jason Moran. She has performed with well-known musicians such as Kenny Barron, Cory Henry, and the R&B band The Internet. On the evening of October 27, she showcased her innovative sound on the stage of Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe in Grosse Pointe Farms.
