Dr. Kenneth Gill is a talented trombonist, composer, educator, and performer from Detroit with a doctorate in jazz and contemporary improvisation. He’s collaborated with a slew of legendary artists. Leslie Hoggatt Gill, a gifted vocalist, arranger, and songwriter also hails from Detroit and started singing and playing piano at an early age. Married in 2020, they form a musical duo deeply connected through jazz and music history. KonGruENT delivers straight-ahead and progressive jazz with a strong focus on bold horn sounds. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. on June 26 at Cliff Bell’s, with dinner available before and seating starting at 6:15 p.m. for the first set.
