Anthony Stanco Quartet

Anthony Stanco grew up in Detroit’s rich blues and soul environment, mentored by top musicians like Rodney Whitaker and Marcus Belgrave. He honors the roots of jazz while exploring its future with a big, bold trumpet sound reminiscent of Freddie Hubbard and Dizzy Gillespie. His band, The Crucial Elements, toured globally as cultural ambassadors through the U.S. State Department’s “American Music Abroad” program, earning praise for their vibrant performances and acclaimed albums, including "You Know The Feeling." Stanco also serves as Assistant Professor of Jazz Trumpet at Michigan State University. At Cliff Bell’s, he played two shows, the first at 7:30 p.m. and the second at 9:30 p.m., with dinner available from 5 p.m. before the first set.
