Planet D Nonet at Cliff Bell’s

Planet D Nonet brought the music from their Echoes of Harlem: A Salute to Duke Ellington Vol 2 album to life at Cliff Bell’s on September 11. This concert was the follow-up to their acclaimed tribute to Duke Ellington, building on the success of their 2023 album Blues to Be There, which ranked highly on jazz charts nationwide. The show featured authentic Ellington compositions reinterpreted with a fresh, personal touch, including vocals by Camille Price and an energetic performance by Tbone Paxton. The band played two sets at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., with tickets priced at $25 at the door.
